VANWIN started business in 1979 as an industrial general contractor to the industry. In the late 1990’s we saw our core business eroding, paper related plant closings, the beginning of outsourcing trends and the unusual availability of highly skilled craftsmen. Our beginnings as a “Fluid handling mechanical contractor” occurred when a major fortune 500 company chose to outsource their pipe shop and small to mid compressor skid manufacturing. Not only did we make room for the employees but also made the capital investment necessary to accommodate the manufacturing processes as well. Our overhead, employee skills, and our “start-up” aggressiveness have enabled us to prosper in this environment and achieve growth through attracting customers with similar needs.
As we move forward our group renders assistance to our clients as a source for highly skilled piping work and continue to grow our manufacturing of skids, consoles and control panels. This growth and the outsourcing trends within the industry will contribute us to find additional skilled people to better serve our customers and broaden our offering of services.
